Creating custom sneakers is simply something that we love to do. Every pair of custom kicks has it’s own unique challenges and we love a good challenge. So when people asked if we were going to do a pair of South Beach custom trainers, our answer was “probably not”. After all aside from creating custom colors to do the job, it’s just a colorway.
However, Dubstepslap415 presented us with a unique challenge. Something that if we did, we KNEW that nobody else aside from Nike themselves could replicate.
WARNING - Replicating these custom sneakers are most likely out of your price range (trust me) but we wanted to take an moment and just show off by doing these. Now, if you want a pair of custom South Beach Vs created at a reasonable price, we would not use this shoe as the base but rather the metallic Jordan Vs. You see, he wanted to take his pair of Independence Day Jordan V’s and turn them into a pair of custom South Beach Jordan Vs. But this was no simple task by any stretch of the imagination. I know it looks easy - “get some paint and slop it on the sneakers right?” WRONG.

You see, creating these custom sneakers were a logistical nightmare. The midsole was blue and the shark teeth were red with white speckles and ALL of this is rubber. Next, this Jordan V toe has patent leather and tell me how many times you have seen the color of patent leather customized? I’ll wait…..go ahead….no, take your time…EXACTLY. Then you have the fact that the netting is clear with a white background and there is plastic around some of the lace holes. And the insides, let’s not even talk about the inside of the shoe. And the tongue? Fugitaboutit. There were 7 different types of material that we had to get around in dealing with these Jordans!
All this combined made for the perfect custom sneaker challenge. So let’s get to it!
As you all know by now. Our concepts turn into digital custom sneaker mockups and we are the only one’s in the game that provide this but then again, we’re PROOF so what else would you expect? Below you’ll see the custom sneaker mockup that we presented to Dubstepslap415.

Custom Spiderman Kicks by Proof Culture !

Not only are these a pair of customized shoes but these are custom Spiderman Sneakers. But not just any Spiderman themed custom kicks.
You see, unless you have been living under a rock you’d know that Marvel has decided to kill Peter Parker. Yes, Peter Parker! Well and the thing is, there is a NEW spiderman. I’m not going to tell you all of the details but I’ll tell you that he is African American and his name is Miles Morales.
Ok, we’re terrible at keeping secrets, click here to learn all of the details. Just don’t tell anybody we told you, this is all top secret stuff. Well maybe it’s not so secret anymore, it’s all over the net.
So…if you’re anything like me, you grew up reading comics and spent many Saturday mornings digging through aisles at the comic spots. There wasn’t much that compared to the feeling of having walked out of the comic store with a great buy of a hard to find issue. I remember going home feeling on top of the world knowing the contents of the crisp brown paper bag that I held - yea and after we finished reminiscing about those days we realized that we needed to get started on these Spiderman custom sneakers haha.
First, Spiderman is nothing to mess up so we knew that we had to get these customized shoes right - after all this is a HUGE character change for Marvel. Challenge #1 for these customized shoes was to find the PERFECT shoe (seen above). After all, our customer Adam (shout out to the Bronx) was depending on us to create a sick pair of custom sneakers! So, after a lot of hunting for the perfect sneakers, we knew that the Nike Air Force One’s that we found would make the perfect base for these custom kicks.
When we started making these customized shoes, there was not a lot of information that had been released on the Michael Morales character but we did find that the Spiderman logo had changed so without a doubt we used the new Spiderman logo.
A lot of fine details went into this which is why we always display high resolution pictures of our work - after all who wants to look at blackberry quality pictures online? lol
